You will feel empowered, enlivened and like you can take on the world thanks to the Uranian energy coursing through your horoscope this week. Uranus is all about embracing the new, the untried and the different. Bear in mind that Plutonian energies will be equally powerful, and Pluto symbolizes that part of you that won’t back down or settle for anything less than what you want. The combination of these two planets will compel you to jettison anything that strikes you as working against the future you want to create. And you will do it without a second thought. Uranus and Pluto can be relentless, uncompromising and thrilling, which is why you will want to make sure that you’re not throwing the baby out with the bathwater as you race to make all of these larger-than-life life changes. Remember that it’s the little things that can get lost in the mix during extraordinary times like these.
ARIES (March 21- April 19)
You will have no patience for people telling you what to do — especially higher-ups. And the more that “the man” tries to make you toe the line — like on Monday and Wednesday — the more that you will resist. This spunky, independent, “I’ve-got-to-be-me” energy makes perfect sense given that Uranus, the planet of revolution and change, is currently in your zodiac sign. You see yourself as a maverick, a rule breaker and a game changer, someone who’s trying to breathe fresh life into old and stale situations. However, you need to ask yourself a very important question: What are you doing this for… really? If you know that you are serving a higher purpose, then go for it. Being the change that you want to see can be enormously invigorating and fulfilling. However, if you are a rebel without a cause, then you will be brought up short by those who are bigger and more powerful than you. It’s not a good idea to tug on Superman’s cape on the 23rd or the 24th. It could result in a painful spanking. Meanwhile, there’s a dramatic development in store for a very important relationship. You may be surprised to discover that someone you always said couldn’t change is indeed changing. Help this person to turn over a new leaf. Your vote of confidence would work wonders now.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
Whatever you do, don’t fight fire with fire on Sept. 19. You are outfoxed and outmaneuvered with Mars traveling through the sneaky sign of Scorpio. Moreover, Mars’s occultation by the Moon between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday shows that your opponent is deliberately goading you into overplaying your hand. Don’t fall for it! Keep your cards close to your chest and you will find the means to turn the tables and trump this person on Oct. 2. On Sept. 20 you will have to rethink tactics. You are currently involved in a dispute that you cannot hope to win which means that you would be better off settling your differences and reaching some kind of agreement. The other party is amenable if you are, but it will be up to you to extend the olive branch. It’s important to remember that you were born under Venus — the planet named after the Roman goddess of love and peace. You are a bridge-builder, not a bridge-burner. Burning bridges is never smart because you never know when you’ll need to cross back over them again. Finally, the surprise reappearance of a certain someone on Sept. 23 looks like Destiny, but not in a good way. This person always shows up at the wrong time, and his track record hasn’t changed. Don’t let him spoil that good thing you’ve got going.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
You will need to have steely nerves this week — especially when every fiber of your being will be screaming at you to abandon ship on Thursday. You were born under Mercury, the planet of the mind in Astrology. This makes you shrewd, calculated and extremely resourceful. You size up situations quickly, and you can tell in an instant if you’re in the game or out. You are interested only in deals or steals; you don’t do long drawn-out discussions. This is why Geminis are so good at buying and selling and turning a profit. You know when to walk away from the table and how to make the other person come running after you. However, you are in danger of sabotaging your best efforts this Thursday. Being born under Mercury also makes you high strung, and when the pressure mounts (like it will be mounting on Tuesday and Wednesday), then you can start to freak out at a time when you need exercise complete cool. The fact that a negotiation has gone off the rails is the very thing that could result in bigger gains than you initially hoped for — but you will have to keep your focus on the variables in play and not on the nearest exit strategy. Keep your wits about you, and you will discover that you are holding a winning hand on the 29th.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
You will want to go to your happy place on Tuesday when Uranus, the planet of unexpected to-dos, will be forming a square to Pluto, the planet of obsession-compulsion. This is Astrology’s version of Clash of the Titans, and when these two planets go at it, then you know that your world is going to get turned upside down. The last time these planets formed a square was on June 24, 2012 — the week that Katie Holmes called up her Cancer husband Tom Cruise to say “Later, dude.” Now this isn’t to say that you will be looking at a surprise divorce this week, but the Stars show that you can expect enormous changes in a romantic relationship or a business partnership. For some Cancers this will mean the surprise return of someone who has been away, and for other Cancers this will be when you end a toxic relationship. If a relationship is bad news, then you will know for sure on Wednesday when the Moon occults Mars. This will be when the evidence is irrefutable and you just won’t be able to deny the truth any longer. If a relationship is salvageable, then you will see it reappear on Sunday when the Moon occults Pluto. Pluto rewards those who brave its trials. You can expect a substantial payback given what you’ve been through recently.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
You have every reason to hope for the best as Uranus, the planet of revolution and change, will be working for you — rather than against you — this week. Uranus is the wild card planet in Astrology. It will always throw something unexpected into the mix. Whether it’s a cosmic monkey wrench or the jolt of electricity that gets things up and going, all depends on where this planet lines up vis-a-vis you in the heavens. Thankfully its alignment will prove to be both illuminating and invigorating on Thursday when you finally achieve that goal you set for yourself back in June 2012. Thursday should bring that yes you’ve been campaigning for, that stamp of approval you’ve been working for, or the green light for that heartfelt project or enterprise. It’s good news when you need it, and it will make you feel like you’ve got your groove back. But heads up on Wednesday when there’s a Moon/Mars occultation in that part of your solar chart that pertains to house, home and real estate concerns. This could bring difficulties with a loved one, a dispute over a sale or an inheritance, or even property damage if you’re not careful. Occultations can be worrisome, but the current Venus/Jupiter sextile ensures cosmic protection. Just make sure that you aren’t renting to someone like Charlie Sheen and you should be OK.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Not all changes in life direction are abrupt or haphazard. Some changes unfold organically and over an extended period of time. If you compare where you were last year at this time to where you are now, then you will see for yourself that there is an intelligent design at work in your life, one that has brought you unerringly to this place. On Sept. 20 you will say good-bye to an old way of life and hello to a new one. But this won’t be a dramatic break; it will be more akin to a smooth and relaxed transition. You could move on to a new job, marry or welcome a new member to the fold. Jupiter prominent in the heavens suggests that this may coincide with a reward, a settlement or some other hefty dollop of good fortune. But what’s on order from the planet of prosperity will be more than just a passing windfall. It looks like a very real step up in income — one that could bump you into a higher tax bracket. This will excite you and stress you out. Being a practical Virgo you know that it costs more to make more, so you’ll probably start running the numbers immediately. A new set of headaches, no doubt, but remember that it’s always better to be in the have rather than the have-not camp.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
These next two weeks will be pivotal because the planets are pushing you to become the person you were always meant to be. This doesn’t mean that you will have to do something radically different with your life. In fact, all of the radical choices have already been made. What’s going on is the culmination of a personal growth process that began in July 2010. You know that you are always strongest in a pair, and if you’re in a relationship right now, then that means that this person is a keeper. If not, then it means you needed to jettison the person you were with before in order to make room for a better match — someone who can be a more creative collaborator in your as-yet-unscripted future. And by the way, this new standard of measure applies to business partners, clients and friends as well. Don’t be surprised if you start deleting names from your address book and can’t stop. You want to be surrounded by people who want to express their highest selves and not mull around the lowest common denominator. Meanwhile, there will be two days this week that will test your newfound resolve and spirit. Sept. 19 shows someone trying to dominate you financially, and Sept. 23 shows someone trying to manipulate you emotionally. Refuse to pay or play, and you will come out on top.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Life is apt to get a little loony this week as the Moon will occult both of your ruling planets — Mars and Pluto. You will want to be especially careful because you could fall prey to your baser instincts and wind up doing something you’ll regret. On Sept. 19 the Moon will pass in front of Mars and hide its light in the night sky (“occult” means “to hide”). This will stir up all of your feelings of vulnerability, anxiety and fear of exposure. These are not emotions that sit well with Scorpio, and the lunar energy could lead you to exaggerate feelings of victimization and/or persecution. It could even lead you to lash out at your nearest and dearest. No zodiac sign can do greater harm to itself than a Scorpio can, which is why instead of retreating into a dark corner, you should reach out to people instead. Loved ones and friends will be able to help you sort through what’s what and to re-establish your emotional equilibrium. On Sunday the Moon will occult Pluto, and this could make you the target of somebody else’s ire. Chances are it’s a perceived slight or based on some bizarre misinterpretation of recent events. You will want to defend yourself, but hold fire. You need to be the bigger person here, and your self-restraint will win you respect plus an apology in the end.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
There comes a point when trying to make things work works against you, and that’s where you will find yourself on Tuesday. You have done everything in your power to salvage an unsalvageable situation, and now you need to let go. It may feel like you’re giving up, but in truth you’re bending like a tree to the winds of change. You will want to go to your inner Zen place because this is one of those times in life when you will have little influence over the outcome that the Stars portend. Uranus and Pluto are two of the most powerful planets in Astrology, and when they clash — like they will from Sept. 18 through Oct. 2 — then there is no way to plan ahead or to predict how things will turn out. What’s clear is that one chapter is coming to an absolute close and that a new one is beginning. Thankfully your Ruling Planet Jupiter will be working its own special magic during this time by introducing fresh faces and new places into the mix. Think of this as cosmic encouragement to travel outside your familiar stomping grounds and to explore options and scenarios that you would have judged as being too farfetched before. Sometimes it takes a shake-up to make us reach for something we’ve always yearned for but always deemed impossible.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Faith isn’t something that comes easily for you. You were born under Saturn, the planet of doubt, which means that it’s easier to pick holes in people’s ideas of an intelligent design than it is for you to believe that there might actually be a mysterious reason for why things happen the way that they do. Yet you can feel in your gut that your life is changing, and there’s even a sense of building excitement and anticipation. Tuesday is the start of a two-week period when you will experience a full turn of the wheel — when what was up goes down and what was down comes flying up. It’s been a while since your world has been turned on its head like this, but the good news is that you will grow as a result. The planets are signaling that it’s time for you to break out, to change direction or to move on. This is not the time to cling to timeworn routines and perspectives because they really are looking threadbare and ill-fitting. On Sept. 23 you will discover for yourself that there’s cold comfort in cynicism when a loved one makes a heartfelt plea and you respond with suspicion rather than an embrace. This should be proof positive that your defenses have become a prison and that those walls need to be torn down.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Even you will be astonished by how fast things can change. This begins on Tuesday when something you expected to deal with further down the road is suddenly front and center and staring you in the face. There is no way that you can sidestep the matter or move it to the back burner. You will have to make a decision on the spot, and it will be the sort of decision that will have immediate consequences. Usually this would lead to a string of sleepless nights, but there’s no time for that as you will have to field yet another crisis du jour on Wednesday. This looks like it will impact your career and/or the career of a boss or client. A sudden resignation, termination or transfer wouldn’t be out of the question, so don’t be surprised if you’re deputized over night (so to speak) and asked to fill in on a temporary basis. It hardly bears telling that this will evolve into a permanent position, but nobody but you has to know that now. The weekend will be taken up with dealing with the fall-out. Expect to do a lot of explaining, hand holding and commiserating. It’s hard to believe that so much can happen in seven days — but it can. Think of it as the perfect dress rehearsal for the command performance that will unfold next week.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Whether it’s out of town guests dropping in unexpectedly or a midnight call from a friend in desperate need of a place to stay, you can expect to play the alternating roles of innkeeper and sanctuary. Throwing open your doors and making people feel welcome is second nature to you. What doesn’t come as naturally is allowing people to give back. Luckily the Stars will provide an opportunity to work on your gratitude skills this Thursday when you hear from someone you once helped out in a pinch. You may not remember who this person is, but it doesn’t matter because this person remembers you. What you get in return will be quite something, and you should accept the gesture of thanks warmly and graciously. Meanwhile, it looks like you’re making plans to move, remodel or buy a piece of property. Jupiter in the part of your solar horoscope that relates to family (particularly your father’s side of the family) shows that a blood relative will be instrumental in making this happen. You may be looking to rent from this person or s/he is in a position to provide you with money for the down payment. Even if this is someone you haven’t been on the best of terms with in the past, you will still want to ask. People like to feel needed, and this could be the perfect icebreaker.
