Everyone’s going to feel like they’re in over their heads with the Full Moon rising in Pisces this week. Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune, named after the Roman god of the sea, so you can expect a building wave of pressing obligations, unaddressed dilemmas and emotional castaways to come rolling into your life. It’s potentially overwhelming, and you could be swept away by the enormity of it all which is why you’ll want to batten down the hatches and wait things out like Bogie and Bacall in Key Largo. What emerges on the other side of this (September 4) will be a very clear picture of what you want in your life. For the first time in months you will be in a position to choose for yourself what you want to salvage and what you want to pitch.
ARIES (March 21- April 19)
On Monday you will get what you were after. This could be a prized assignment, the dismissal of an ornery supervisor or glowing praise from someone you were seeking to impress. This is a big deal and it should make you very happy. So why are you asking yourself: Is that all there is? You were born under Mars – which was named after the Roman god of war – and that’s why people perceive you as aggressive, combative and willing to do whatever it takes to win at all costs. Actually nothing could be further from the truth. You’re more into quest than conquest, and nothing makes you happier than to tackle a new challenge. It’s the search for adventure that’s important, not the triumph. In fact, getting what you want leaves you at a loss as to what to do with yourself. It’s strangely anticlimactic. This is why people born under Aries are good at beginning things, but not at ending them. Thankfully the Sun/Pluto trine on Wednesday will bring a renewed call to arms. This will rouse you from your thoughts by giving you a new mission to accomplish. The prized assignment may be in jeopardy, the vanquished supervisor may be staging a Freddy Krueger comeback, or the person whose hand you won will be in distress. In any case, it will introduce a new crisis and that’s exactly what you live for!
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
It’s always a good idea to eat light when riding an emotional roller coaster. You can expect several sharp turns and loop-de-loops on Tuesday and Thursday followed by a free fall drop on Friday. The important thing to keep in mind is that the sheer centripetal force of events will push against you and keep you in your seat. Yes – the ride will be wild and crazy, but at no point will you be in danger of falling out. It’s exciting and thrilling and chances are that when the whole thing comes to a stop you’ll want to ride again. But what’s really going on? It appears as if you’ve caught a tiger by the tail – romantically speaking – and that you don’t want to let go. This is fine. In fact, it’s what falling in love is all about. However it doesn’t look like you have a clear idea of where you want things to go either, and that may be where the problem lies. Your dilemma could manifest as a star-crossed love, longing to be with someone who lives half a world away (something that happens with increasing frequency thanks to the internet) or the classic love triangle. Enjoy the highs and lows for what they are now, but don’t lose sight of the fact that you’re going to have to a more grounded view of matters on September 4th.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
You want a home life, but it doesn’t look like your career will let you have one – at least not in the way it’s set up now. Being pulled in opposite directions by domestic demands on one hand and professional obligations on the other is a dilemma everyone is familiar with. It’s as old as choosing between Scylla and Charybdis. However, it will come to a boil this week. Maybe it’s that one demand too many or the promotion that fails to materialize or the dawning realization that the money (no matter how much you’re being paid) just isn’t worth the hoops you’re made to jump through. In any case, you will hit the wall on Friday. And it’s about time too, because loved ones and friends have been warning you about this for months. Take the weekend to hole up in your private place and to think long and hard about the future you want to create. Home and prosperity shouldn’t be an either/or predicament. There’s a way to have it all, but you’re going to have to expand your mental margins in such a way that this or that becomes this and that. Don’t be afraid to reorganize priorities to suit your needs and requirements. You will be amazed by how quickly a boss or client will cave in and comply. You are that invaluable.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
This week starts off as a mad dash through the psychic spanking machine, so take each day as it comes and keep telling yourself that there’s a soft cushion waiting for you at the end of the line. The Moon opposite Venus on Monday and then square Saturn and Mars on Tuesday (ouch!) puts you between a rock and a hard place. Stay true to what you feel is in absolute conflict with the way that a lover or a friend expects you to behave so you will have to choose between loyalty to yourself and loyalty to this person. Usually you’d swallow your pride and make nice, but that may not happen this time. You truly believe that you are in the right and that if this person really cares about you then he or she will back down. Love is a two way street – even on Google maps. Meanwhile the Blue Moon on Friday will have an especially powerful impact on you. You might begin the day standing alone, but that’s not the way you’ll end it. Whether it’s friends checking in to see how you’re doing or loved ones taking a moment out of their day to make sure that everything’s all right – you’ll be feeling the love by nightfall. And don’t be surprised if you receive a conciliatory phone call from a certain someone at the beginning of next week.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
The tide of fortune starts to turn in your favor this week thanks to your ruler the Sun forming a trine to Pluto. The planets relate to each other in all kinds of ways in the sky. Sometimes they’re on the same page, sometimes they’re confrontational, sometimes they’re flirty and sometimes they’re just plain snarky. A trine is when the best qualities of two planets come out which makes you the lucky beneficiary on August 29th. This is when you could come into a lump sum of money. Pluto was named after the Roman god of wealth and the Underworld so you could inherit or receive a reward, settlement, return on an investment or profit on a sale. It’s money when you need it – as well as a positive boost to your spirits and confidence. It’s also a reminder to never allow yourself to fall prey to scavenger doubts and worries. Remember that you were born under the sign of the lion, and it’s the lion’s job to stand proudly at the top of the food chain. You’re the one who sends the hyenas scurrying – not the other way around. Friday would also be a good time to look inside for the solutions to current problems. You should know that you carry the secret of your success deep within; however, the key will be in recognizing it.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You may be hypersensitive due to the influence of the Full Moon on Friday, but you will still feel like this week marks the start of the new and improved you. A remarkable trine between the Sun and Pluto on Wednesday will serve as a cosmic reminder that when the going gets tough, the tough get going, and given what you’ve been through recently – you are clearly on the side of the tough. Pluto is the planet of ordeals and the transformations that arise from them. Although it raises the stakes and toughens the course, Pluto also shows what perseverance and endurance can bring. Pluto’s trials by fire force you to call upon strengths you didn’t know you had and to use them. This will lead to you taking back the power in your life on Wednesday when you turn the tables on a person or situation that’s been bullying you. But this transformation won’t come from an act of willpower. This transformation comes from the realization that you always have a choice and that making different choices begets different results. This simple shift in perspective will immediately open your world. Meanwhile, take yourself off the hook for a misstep on August 31. It’s not the fiasco you imagine it to be. Everyone makes mistakes and beating yourself up about it won’t help; however, learning from it will.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
The abrupt end of a long-standing association on Monday may surprise you. There have been warning signs for weeks – and you yourself have talked with friends about looking for a way to bring things to a close – but the finality of it all could still prove jolting. Nevertheless, this is your out and you should take it. This is also the start of a four week cycle when you will be tying up a lot of loose ends in different areas of your life in preparation for a new chapter that begins on October 5. Anyone who thought Librans were wishy-washy and hopelessly noncommittal will soon have another “think” coming. Saturn in your zodiac sign for the past two years has taught you to be decisive. You’ve seen how agonizing over one decision gums up the works. Life is a conveyer belt of choices with one following right after the next so that the more choices you make, the better at it you become. On August 29 you will be asked to help salvage a situation on the brink of collapse. Disputing parties are ready to walk, but your ability to see what each wants and what each can give will win their attention. That strip of common ground may be slim, but it’s still common ground, and that’s all you need to lay out the floor plan for a compromise that everyone can live with.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Getting together with like-minded individuals can help bolster confidence in the changes you want to make in your life. These could be people in your yoga class, running club or meet-up group. Ideally they should be people who are outside your inner circle. You could use some fresh insights now, and sometimes acquaintances can see things in you that close friends miss. They might recognize a hidden potential, encourage you to try something different or they might simply tell it the way they see it because they don’t have a long history with you. Acquaintances aren’t as emotionally invested as friends can be in you staying who you are, and subsequently, they’re not going to be freaked out by you pursuing things that are “out of character”. This isn’t to diss your friends, but sometimes a change of social scene can bring a healthy change in perspective. This will resonate with you on Wednesday when the Sun forms a trine to your Ruling Planet Pluto. Now is the time to break old mental habits and to stop giving fears and insecurities so much free reign. You need to make a better effort at differentiating between realistic concerns and worse-case scenarios because the worries you dream up are undermining your efforts to change things for the better. The Sun/Pluto trine will help you to separate the wheat from the chaff.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
It’s abundantly clear that you are undergoing an enormous sea change in the way that your life is set up and that no matter what you do to set a course, the rudder in hand seems to have a mind of its own. Let developments unfold on their own because what’s happening now is a direct result of what took place in late February/early March 2012. Earlier this year you were feeling frustrated and confused, and this is when you made certain resolutions about your future. Perhaps you decided to step up your game or to look for something different in another field. Maybe February 2012 is when you began mapping out exit strategies. Even if it was more thought than action at the time, impulses like this have a strange way of taking on a life of their own as you will see on Friday when there is a Full Moon in Pisces. This is when what was put in motion then will materialize in the here and now. You may not recognize it right away, but your wish is being granted in the form of a promotion, a change of scene or a release from a situation that has outlived its purpose. The coming months can be exciting and rewarding if you are prepared to embark for destinations unknown instead of remaining landlocked by old routines and methods.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
You need to make peace with what went down last week and to tell yourself that kaput means kaput. Raking yourself over the coals for what happened and coming up with alternative universe scenarios for how things could have played out differently is an exercise in futility – like closing the gate after the horse has bolted. First of all, there was nothing you could do to salvage the situation and secondly? That situation wasn’t worth salvaging anyway. There are certain times when the Stars spell out “fait accompli” across the heavens and this is one of them. Thankfully the Sun trining Pluto, the planet of transformation, on Wednesday will show you what you will regain through this “loss.” You will regain your freedom, your creativity and your power – all things that you tend to give away too cheaply. Luckily for you, the universe is just as adamant about putting them back into your hands. Meanwhile the Full Moon on the Friday will bring to an end this feeling of drift that you’ve been experiencing for months. You can appreciate that the road of life is not about the destination but the journey, but at the end of the day you’re still a bottom-line Capricorn and you’re over it. You want to know what’s what already, and in the next four weeks it will all be explained to you.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
You could find yourself out of your depth this week as circumstances beyond your control come sweeping in like a late afternoon tide. You can blame it on the Blue Moon in Pisces. It’s not every year when we have two Full Moons in one month – which is what a Blue Moon is – and given all of the Super Moons we’ve been experiencing in 2012 you can expect this one to be enormously powerful. Full Moons unleash all of those things that have been kept hidden and under wraps. In your case it will bring to the surface all of those things that your spouse, paramour or business partner would rather not discuss. Taboo subjects like sex, money and who owes who what (and by when) will be pressing issues on Tuesday and Thursday. Thankfully you were born under an air sign which means that you’re a big believer in talking things out. Airing grievances is never easy, but you’ll find that the other person is just as committed as you are to sorting out the dirty laundry. What you will get by the end of the week is acceptance, understanding and a revised game plan that you can both live with. It may take a while to get back into the rhythm of things again, but rest assured that there’s a real commitment to making things work.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
This will be a very emotional week for you. You’re apt to be thin-skinned and oversensitive which makes perfect sense when there’s a Full Moon rising in your zodiac sign like there will be on Friday. This is going to create the sensation that you are living life in a fish bowl; that people can just peer in your direction and see all of your vulnerable spots on display. You may feel exposed, defensive and surrounded by prying eyes and predatory egos. This can make you want to hug the shadows and maintain a low profile. The irony, however, is that nobody gets what’s happening with you. If anything, loved ones and friends are scratching their heads and wracking their brains in an effort to figure out what’s wrong. And of course, the more they hazard a guess, the more intruded upon you feel until the whole thing becomes a vicious circle. The best thing to do is to talk about what’s going on inside that wild and wooly inner world of yours and to remember that people aren’t going to judge you. They may not get where you’re going with some of your assumptions, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t try to understand. Don’t be afraid to unload and unburden. The people in your life are there for you and they care very deeply.
