ARIES (March 20 – April 18): Someone you haven’t heard from in months delivers on a promise. Great! Now if only you could remember what they promised in the first place.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): Something that was lost is returned to you today — along with an extra bonus for your trouble.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): Are you better off today than you were on June 11, 2012 when Jupiter entered Gemini? Chances are that the answer is a resounding yes!

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): You stand poised on the threshold of a whole new life. Take in the sights, because this is thoroughly unexplored territory.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): Your fun-loving side returns as the Sun conjoins Jupiter. It’s just in time too because people were starting to wonder.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): A rival steals your thunder, but instead of feeling upstaged, study what this person did right. You’ll soon unlock the secret to his success.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): You can never be too fussy when reviewing a contract. Ask as many questions as you want. The onus is on others to explain themselves — not you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): Jupiter conjoins the Sun in the house of other people’s money. This could bring an inheritance, a settlement, an investor or the release of finances kept under lock and key.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): The Sun/Jupiter conjunction shows someone close to you getting a lucky break. Be nice, and some of that good fortune will rub off on you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): Tired of putting in twice the work for half the results? Look for that trend to reverse itself after the 25th.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): Don’t unpack because you’ll be back on the road before you know it. It’s the downside to being in demand. Thankfully, the pace slows down in July.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): This was supposed to be a time when everything comes together, so why does it feel like it’s coming apart? Good fortune moves in mysterious ways when the Sun conjoins Jupiter.

It’s summertime! This is probably my favorite season for planning dates. Warm weather makes all the difference when it comes to dating — especially budget-friendly dating. And who isn’t looking for some wallet relief? So here are five summer date ideas you can do in any city as long as the sun is shining and the shorts are short!

Biking

Remember when that neighbor boy you had a crush on would come over, knock on your front door and ask if you wanted to go for a bike ride? For a lot of people, biking was their first date. And some things don’t need improving. Hop on your bikes or borrow a bike from one of the popular bike-share programs popping up in many cities, and cruise around town. I mean, can it get any better than a date that counts as your workout for the day, but where you can still wear a cute outfit?

Stoop drinking

This isn’t my classiest idea, but does fun ever happen when you’re worried about being classy? Grab some booze, put it in a brown paper bag and go find a nice stoop to sit on and watch the world go by. I’m not saying that you should drink a whole bottle of liquor. My two drink rule still applies here. But people-watching when you’re a little tipsy is such an easy way to get conversation going. And I bet you’ll get a lot deeper with the convo than you would at some stuffy restaurant.

Dessert tour

Every city has cupcake shops sprouting up like weeds. Why not take advantage of the weather and walk around from shop to shop, sampling a few? You can compare them to figure out which bakery really has the best cupcake.

Board game outside

I’m really spilling it in this post. Ready for this? I love board games. Like really, really love them. The way to my heart is to let me win at Scrabble. So a perfect date for me is spreading out a blanket and setting up a board game two people can play. Of course, I’d recommend Scrabble. But even a deck of cards will work.

Outdoor eating

Eating outside is something that I’ve started to take for granted living in L.A. But whenever I’m in New York or anywhere else, I realize just how special outdoor eating is. It can make even a diner grilled cheese feel special. So wherever your honey and you are dining, ask to be seated outside. It’ll feel way more special.

Anyone else have inexpensive date idea for warm weather? Share them in the comments below.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): Your feedback is invaluable, but your delivery leaves something to be desired. Introduce words like “maybe” and “perhaps,” and you’ll get your message across pleasantly and effectively.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): After days of buck passing, colleagues finally realize that everyone’s in it together. Suggest a time and place to reconvene.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): Hide the cash box! Loved ones are looking to hit you up today. It’s someone else’s turn to cough up the money.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): That big conflict you were expecting is swiftly resolved. Evidently the other party didn’t have the stomach for it either.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): Lunar trines to the Sun and Jupiter brighten your mood. This puts you in a much better frame of mind to consider your next move now that you see it in a more positive light.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): Passive-aggressive doesn’t begin to describe colleagues’ behavior over the next few days. Respond with some inertness of your own.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): You’re put off by the aloof manner, but don’t let it discourage you. Once you get through the outer shell, you’ll win a friend for life.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): You just need to know if someone is sincere. Today you get your answer. The words may be clumsy, but the sentiment is clear.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): Technically you may not be responsible, but symbolically you are. Do the right thing and assume accountability.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): Don’t struggle against the current of events. It may not be headed in the direction you want to go, but it’s still moving you to the place where you need to be.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): What began as others seeking your advice is turning into a situation where you’re more involved than you want to be. Set boundaries now.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): Thank heavens a friend’s common sense returns. You’d just about given up on trying to get this person to see reason.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): It looks like a venture won’t be panning out, but no worries. You’ll soon find another thanks to today’s Mars/Uranus sextile.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): Go ahead and break with a friend’s advice if you think that you really have a shot at something. What’s the worst that can happen? Sitting through the I-told-you sos.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): Draw strength from encouraging friends and colleagues. They have a better idea of your capabilities than you do right now.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): Losing a battle puts you in the position to win a war. A strategic retreat in one area gives you a chance to gain ground in another.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): Prospects look good for the moment, but don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You don’t want a surprise development to sit on them.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): It’s regrettable that an intimate can’t be there for you now. But look at it this way — it also forces you to take back the reins of your life.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): Upsets in another person’s life end up benefiting you. Make the most of this opportunity without looking too opportunistic.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): Don’t jump the gun. A project is still in the planning stages. Just because people want to begin now, doesn’t mean they’re ready.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): So many things go wrong today that it’s comical. Is the Universe out to thwart you? No, it’s just trying to get you to laugh at yourself.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): Now that you’re being singled out for greatness, get ready to be the object of envy. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s still better to be talked about than ignored.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): A breakthrough in a friend’s life gets you wondering about the stalled progress in your own. Everything in its time. Meanwhile, show support.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): You’re entering an industrious period. Instead of working hard at working hard, you’ll actually accomplish something.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): Anxieties dissolve when you see what comes of a Herculean effort. Thank that person who kept pushing you to push yourself when you wanted to fold.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): Don’t try to razzle-dazzle a client. This person will see right through it. Come clean with what you want, and you’ll get a fair hearing.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): If you’re not going to pursue an opportunity, then offer it to a colleague. You could be instrumental in someone’s success.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): You feel uncomfortable tapping into a secret stash, but don’t worry because you’ll replenish it. You need to do what’s necessary to stay in the game.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): There’s no such thing as making a right decision that will please everyone. Some will approve and others won’t. Tap into that lion heart of yours for strength. You’ll need it.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): Pursue a venture — even if it’s a long shot. The initial return may not look worthwhile, but it will grow over time.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): Your goals aren’t unrealistic, but your timetable is. Lower expectations, and you’ll find that financial foothold you’re looking for.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): You’re reclaiming a confidence you used to have. But where the previous version was based on naivete, this one is seasoned by experience.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): It takes a lot of guts for someone to apologize. Be courteous about accepting it even if you’re still sore.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): The lines between work and friendship are blurring. But instead of retreating behind a professional demeanor, try introducing a more affable one.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): Sometimes you have to hold back to get what you want. It’s not your way of doing things, but it may be what others expect and respect.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): A recent altercation shook more than your confidence. It undermined affections too. Allow time for hurt feelings to mend.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): You’re starting to look at a friendship differently. And so is the other person. Find a subtle way to compare notes to ensure that you’re on the same page.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): A competitive interest goes out of its way to woo you, which means that it’s time to touch base with your company to see what they’re willing to do to keep you.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): You and a certain someone may be “soul mates,” but did it occur to you that his/her spouse might think differently? Souls transmigrate — and so should you.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): You avoided a touchy subject for as long as you could, and now it’s time to face the music. Your willingness to listen disarms critics.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): Someone who said he was leaving keeps finding excuses to stay. This person is looking for a way out of a regrettable ultimatum. Cut him some slack.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): Switch from defensive to conciliatory. Loved ones don’t want to fight any more than you do. A little agreeableness goes a long way.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): It is possible to be united in loyalty but divided in feeling. Stand by this person and s/he will make it up to you.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): You have serious disagreements about how to proceed with a financial matter. You can talk things out as long as you keep figures and feelings separate.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): Ask yourself what you stand to gain by rocking the boat again at work. Too many crusades and people turn a deaf ear.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): Working with so many people requires a fluid approach. Delegate responsibility and be open to input. Give and take is key to success.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): Don’t let one sticking point spoil the entire package. Yield and collect all the good things on offer.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): Put feelings of restlessness aside and dutifully fulfill obligations. Once completed, you’ll experience the freedom of choice you crave.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): You’re free to be yourself. But is your partner or spouse? It’s a question worth asking now because your self-expression shouldn’t come at somebody else’s expense.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): Having your cake and eating it too is putting on the pounds — both literally and metaphorically. You don’t need as much as you think you do. There’s something to be said for staying hungry.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): A reversal is reversed when Venus forms a square to Uranus today. If there was ever a time to switch from following your head to following your heart, then it’s now.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): Let it go. Whatever is lost today will come back bigger and stronger in July.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): You’ve known for weeks that you couldn’t continue down a certain path, and today it reaches the end. This will prove to be an enormous relief.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): A sacrifice in the short term will get you more in the long run, but you will have to do it freely and with no strings attached.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): You get thrown a curveball from out of left field. Take time to absorb the impact of what this means. You might like the changes that it brings.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): A done deal looks like it’s run aground. Don’t abandon ship yet. It may be on the rocks, but it’s not wrecked.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): Denial acts as a survival mechanism to get you through tough times. But now that they’ve passed, you’re ready for the truth.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): Expect to hear about surprise twists and rude awakenings in the lives of loved ones. Be there for people who have been there for you.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): Doing the right thing doesn’t always result in a hearty show of thanks. It’s OK. Knowing that what you did was for the best is what matters most.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): No matter how much a loved one provokes you, it’s still up to you to transcend it. It may not seem fair, but you’re the stronger one.

There’s a point in every relationship when you get that feeling. You know the one — you’re meeting his friends, you’re suddenly saying “we” a lot, you’re starting to picture a future together. I’m talking about that point when you get a sense that the relationship could be getting serious. Nothing’s serious yet, but it’s getting there. You know what I’m talking about, right?

Well, the next time you get that feeling, I need you to pump the brakes a little and ask him these six very important questions. You’ve got to get these answers before you dive head first into a serious relationship, or else you could have a broken heart on your hands. And no one wants that.

What are you looking for?

I know this sounds simple, but it’s not at all. You’re probably thinking, he asked you out on that first date because he wanted to date you to eventually marry you. What else could he have been thinking? Well, ladies, dude minds work in weird ways, and they’re not always dating you because they’re looking for commitment. You just have to ask to know for sure.

Do you want kids?

This is a biggie. I know it seems like you’re jumping the gun, asking about kids so early into a relationship, but it’s a must. Trust me.

What’s your take on religion?

When two people get serious, religion is a big player. Even small differences between your faiths or your perspectives on spirituality can become big issues. Am I saying that two people of different faiths can’t make it work? Of course not. But I am saying that it won’t work if they don’t discuss it.

Do you have debt?

Tacky, I know. But just ask it. Finances is one of the top reasons couples split up, and you need to know this guy’s take on money before you get serious. That emotional investment will become a financial one if you get married. So just ask now.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I know you’re dating him, not interviewing him, but this question will help you decide if your lives can fold together. In five years does he want a family and a picket fence when you want to be backpacking in Africa? Then I don’t think you’re a match. But if you two have a similar view of your futures, keep getting serious!

How would your parents feel about me?

I know we’re all adults and make our own decisions, and our parents can’t do anything about it. But, really, they do. His family’s reaction to you is going to color your relationship. So find out if there’s a reason — education, race, religion — his family could find it challenging to accept you. If there is one, don’t assume it’s a deal breaker. Just don’t wait until you’re ringing their doorbell to meet them before you discuss it.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): It’s hard to figure out what people want, so stop trying. It’s clear that you need to bring more to the table if you want to win them over, so start with that.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): Are you sending signals that you want to stay when you said that you were going? Keeping the other person on tenterhooks isn’t advisable when Ruling Planet Venus is opposite Pluto. You’ll only make him/her more grabby.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): That diamond in the rough is quite the gem, but it’s going to need a lot of spit and polish to make it presentable.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): You’re playing with the big boys. It’s both exciting and frightening, but no worries. They’ll play nice… for now.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): A family matter resolves itself, but can you trust that it will stay that way? Yes. Sometimes situations really do work themselves out.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): Why do you keep arguing with people who want the best for you? Keep turning down their support and encouragement, and one day they’ll stop offering it.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): People often accuse you of riding on the coattails of others, but what’s the problem if it gets you to where you want to go?

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): You have the emotional pull in the situation, but do you really want to draw someone in against their will? You will always question if it was his/her choice.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): Don’t look now, but coffers are slowly refilling themselves. Your dry spell is coming to an end.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): People are convinced that you have all the answers. You know that it’s not true, but if that’s what they want to believe — then why discourage them.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): You move from a quick fix to a long-term solution today.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): Saturn teaches by making you repeat something to the point of tedium. A decision that appeared overwhelming weeks ago is now something that you just want to be done with.

ARIES (March 20 – April 18): Try as you may, you won’t get your way — even if you are the injured party! A compromise salvages something positive from the situation.

TAURUS (April 19 – May 19): A buyer or seller turns up the heat in a negotiation. But you’re in the stronger position. Don’t back down when you don’t have to.

GEMINI (May 20 – June 19): Drastic measures may not be as drastic as you think. A reshuffling of the pieces in place provides the solution you’re looking for.

CANCER (June 20 – July 21): It’s hard to be there for others when they’re not there for themselves, but that’s what you do. Keep holding the space because they’ll be back.

LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21): Get an unpleasant scene over with. The other person isn’t looking forward to it either. Once done, you can both get on with your day.

VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): A vote of confidence comes in the form of a promotion. It’s more ceremonial than substantial, but it’s flattering nonetheless.

LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): You face a dilemma where you wish you could have it both ways, but that won’t be happening. Don’t keep people hanging. Be decisive.

SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20): Someone’s looking to renege. Obviously this person doesn’t know who s/he is dealing with. Start barring the doors.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20): You feel more put upon than forgiving with the Moon square Uranus. Wait a couple of days for your natural bonhomie to return.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18): No sooner do you receive a lump sum than a debtor will come asking for the same amount. It’s a zero sum game when the Moon’s opposite Pluto. It’s still better than the alternative.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17): You hate to let anyone down, but a friend must assume responsibility for his/her actions. The lesson won’t take if you bail this person out again.

PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19): Just because people don’t feel things to the same degree as you do, doesn’t mean they don’t care. Remember that you swim deeper than most.
